Going from collective to individual loss of income insurance after losing job

Has anyone successfully continued their loss of income insurance (in case of sickness - assurance perte de gain maladie) after having their employment contract terminated?

My understanding is that there exists some "libre passage" right to go from the company's collective policy
(it's an LCA one with 90 libre passage window) to an individual policy with the same level of coverage (well in case of unemployment the amount of income is adjusted to that), just that the premium will be set freely by the insurance company and, as they've made it a case to warn me (without numbers) it's "expensive".

A little more context is that I was fired and during the notice period I came down with something that foresees potential problems in the future and while I hope first that nothing serious comes of it and second that I find a new job quickly, I really would like the coverage provided by this insurance so as to not risk getting into the situation where I'm on unemployment, a health problem comes up and I only have the 30 days of sickness coverage before I'm on my own.

Any advice, concrete numbers on how much you paid and how long it took to get the coverage going? Thanks in advance!
