New job while pregnant

Hi All,

So I have a bit of decision to make and I really need help and advice .
I currently work as consultant in Geneva and live in Lausanne. Few weeks ago I had an interview with another consultant company for a job in Lausanne and I got it.
However, I found out couple weeks ago that I am pregnant and my due date should be beginning in August. I did informed the new company as I know it could affect the contract and he client I will be working for.
Surprisingly , thee are happy for me to start in two months time and give maternity leave etc.
So my biggest plus is that the job is close where I live and I will save a lot of time, plus I already feel so tier on traveling while pregnant. But my biggest concern, that they all very positive and promising things, but not sure how it's going to be once I start working. As I feel like at the moment I know my colleagues and environment where I work, and the new job will be a lot of training and completely unknown people.
What would you do and is it not surprisingly strange that they accepted pregnant women?

Thank you all xxx

The company is obviously focused on long-term talent attraction, which is very positive, and is likely to be a good employer.

The biggest risk would be if they change their mind once they had found out that you are pregnant, which as you say, is surprisingly positive.

That alone is enough for me to sign the contract.

Nobody is going to be able to tell you whether this job will be better or worse than your current job from the perspective of the role itself or the people you would be working with. If you have doubts there then itís entirely up to you to seek further information from people who work there or used to work there and make your judgement.

Good luck!

Lucky you! Sounds much better than my employer. Go for it, and good luck.

You sound like the worrying type

Is this important right now? Cross that bridge when you get to it or just before as it might never happen...

Not worth even thinking about in my opinion specially not when you are expecting...
