Canadian working in Canada for Swiss company

Hoping somebody can help me.
I am a Canadian citizen living in Canada and I have been offered to work remotely (in Canada) for a Swiss company.
The Swiss company has no other offices or associations with Canada yet.
What would the tax implications be for me? I want to avoid double taxation but I am unfamiliar with Swiss laws.
Is being a direct employee of this Swiss company possible for me? Or should I consider simply working as a contractor instead?
Thanks for everyone's help. I appreciate it.

Re: Canadian working in Canada for Swiss company

I believe you do not have to pay double Taxes but you would have to File taxes in Canada declaring your actual Income.

one of my relative work In States but Lives in Canada. His salary arrives to his US bank and I believe the same will be a situation in your case.

At the Time of Taxes, you would have to contact your Accountant who can make it simple for you.

I hope this helps.

Re: Canadian working in Canada for Swiss company

There is a Canada-Swiss taxation treaty that could apply.

However as you are resident in Canada, working in Canada (with perhaps occasional visits to CH) and being paid in Canada it is almost certain you would not be subject to Swiss taxation.

If you were to be transferred here, this would change. But you won’t be paying double taxes.
