Was your husband on the same type of Ab Aufruf contract that you had/have?

if NOT, then his employer has to pay him/her. It is clearly written at https://www.bag.admin.ch/bag/en/home...tml#-578788515

that the employer has to pay the full salary for those unable to work due to underlying conditions. If that has not happened then you have a right to demand his salary during the time he cannot work due to CoVid-19.
He had worked remote which they were not happy about. They continually asked him to come into the office. Anyway it escalated very fast and it was a week or some days after when they brought in that law - too late for him. In any case, sadly he was in his probezeit, and so they can use any excuse or give none at all for firing you. So it would be impossible to prove they fired him because he would not go into the office itself. You know how the Swiss are - such a case would go nowhere.

Ah right.

Have you thought about looking for temporary work in sectors that are super busy right now? Deliveries of food etc?
Yes but as I mentioned, I live with my husband, who is high risk so not smart idea to be working in a supermarket, even if they would take me.
I've applied for him for loads of remote style jobs as he works in tech - hiring has really slowed there.

Re: Stundenlohn contract 'auf Abruf'

The Federal Council has extended short-time work compensation (Kurzarbeitentschädigung or KAE) to on-call employees. The announcement says (translated):

"The circle of those eligible for KAE will be extended to include more on-call employees. Previously, if the employee's employment level fluctuated by more than 20 percent, they were not entitled to KAE. Now they can be included in the applications if they have worked for at least six months in the same company. This is intended to prevent the approximately 200,000 employees who perform work on call in Switzerland from being dismissed. The companies can continue their on-call employment and it can be assumed that the period of receipt of KAE will be shorter than any unemployment."
