ESL in Switzerland Vaud/Fribourg

Hi
My husband has just moved for work and is keen for me to join him.
I am a teacher of English as a foreign language, I have a lot of experience but I am slightly anxious about the regulations for teaching in Switzerland or the possibility of finding work.
Do schools offer work permits? Is it easy to register as a freelancer for work purposes in Fribourg or Vaud (hubby is in Payerne)? Does anyone have an idea about how receptive either canton is to foreign workers in schools? Sorry to pepper you with questions but I haven't been able to find much info

Re: ESL in Switzerland Vaud/Fribourg

Have a look through the threads in the Permits/Visas/Government forum on this web site.

If you are a EU national it is permit issue is fairly easy. If not, it is difficult.

Do a search for international schools around Payerne, Iím not aware of any, but I live in another part of Vaud.

You would definitely need a good level of French for other schools it is the language spoken in Vaud, and much of Fribourg.
