nope I think in my case it was part of the background check like after they made the offer.


I hope they don't take away the offer lol

Goldman Sachs often refuses to give references for a couple of reasons.
1) It's required for due diligence of the new firm, so less people will get poached unless the new company will take the risk their insurance will not cover them in the event of Fraud.
2) the risk of getting sued.

This applies to most US/Canadian Firms atleast in the Financial Industry
