Employer not paying salary after dismissal

Dear all, after having finished an employment contract and agreeing a number of months of salary until last day at work (imagine a garden leave), and the employer is not paying the last month. Which government entity I should contact to proceed to claim my rights and salary?
Any help will be highly appreciated

Re: Employer not paying salary after dismissal

This is a private matter, has nothing to do with the government. Best to contact your legal insurance?!

It does not matter, if you have been terminated and you have issues they will try to help you out even if you are not a member. A person I know that works there tells me many of the people they help in this situation are none members.

Re: Employer not paying salary after dismissal

Yes, go after them in court assuming you have a contract. If the company is still in business by the time you have a hearing they'll lose. Try contacting these people too.

Tribunal des Prud'hommes

They will help with your legal rights.

Re: Employer not paying salary after dismissal

The name for the responsible authority differs by Canton. Usually it's Amt für Arbeit und Wirtschaft, or similar. See here for the official list by Canton.

You, the employee, are automatically insured for up to three salaries. AFAIK if you're paid out from that insurance, the government takes over and hunts the employer themselves. There's a certain procedure involved, those good folks will be glad to inform you in detail.

Re: Employer not paying salary after dismissal

Before any further action... have you tried to reach out to your "former" employer and understand if something went wrong? perhaps just an operational mistake they are not even aware of
