| | Working in restaurant and receive cash as salary!
Hello everyone, I new to CH and start my first job here as a waiter in a restaurant.
I work 100 hours per months following the contract and if I work more than 100 hours, the extra hours will pay me in cash. The amount paying of extra hours are less than the contract, I feel really bad because I work more and receive less.
Also, I work here since middle Feb l but the contract signed from April, I think I lost 1.5 months of pension.
This is the first job I have so I dont know where should I seek for the support. I am really sure that the owner takes advantage, I know if I speak up, I will lose my job. I see everystaff in the restaurant are in the same shoes of mine. But because of job, no one dare to speak about.
Same as me, I really worry about losing job, but dont want to be treat unfair.
Anyone here experience this situation? Where I can go to ask for help?

Speaking up is one thing but posting online isn't that far from that.

Being paid in cash is perfectly legal.

what permit do you have ?
are you being paid a reasonable per-hour wage ?
are you signed up for pension etc ?
are you covered for sick-leave and annual holidays ?
how are your hours being recorded ?
do you get a pay slip for the full amount that you worked, that also shows your monthly deductions etc ?

I believe the employer has something like three months to actually pay in (the kind folks behind the linked page will gladly confirm/correct this), everything from the first half of the year should have been paid already.
