Re: False promises to lure and then fire an expat

@rumshot Yes you are right. Leaving CH is the last resort. Anyway one can't survive here with family without a job for more than few months. I just don't want to have any regrets in future that I gave up too early and did not try enough to fight for my rights.

I'm reminded of a line from a Tracey Chapman song.
She went to my high-school (after I graduated), my mother was one of her teachers.

Re: False promises to lure and then fire an expat

I’m sorry for not be able to provide you a more optimism response...
CH can be very difficult to a foreigner and also when you are fully dependent of your work (and no savings) it’s even more difficult.

I can’t tell you what to do, it’s on you.

Personally if I would be in a situation similar, I would fight until the last minute and seeing there’s no way out, I would chose to return to “home” and leaving the country who’s hosting me with open doors...

No.

According to OR, the form of an employment contract is not limited:

https://www.admin.ch/opc/en/classifi...ndex.html#a320

An email would be legally binding if sent as part of the contract discussion, although if the employer claim it was just an "illustration" or "possibility" and the employee that it was a key part of the contract then a court may have to sort it out.
