| | Signin AHV/pension insurance document after leaving job
Hi everyone.
So soon I'm leaving my current job and starting a new one.
I have a B permit.
My current employer (ex-employer soon) told me that I would need to sign some AHV/pension insurance documents before I leave my current job.
I'm afraid this can be a scam, and I would like to hear some advice regarding this matter (I don't speak so good German)
I sign these documents when I started to work but I really didn't hear that someone need to sign them after he finishes.
This employer is not reliable at all so I don't trust him.
I don't have idea what kind of documents they meant, I still didn't get it to sign.
Thank you.

Take the docs home and get so eine to look them over with you.
It might be documents to move your 2nd pillar to a vested benefits account for example.

Thank you, everyone. | Quote: | | | | It might be documents to move your 2nd pillar to a vested benefits account for example. | | | | | That what I thought also, but in my case, I'm just moving from one job to another, I think, in the case you wrote is when you don't have a new job and your pension capital needs to be transferred to vested benefits account in order to preserve it.
I really don't know, it's my first time I change job in Switzerland.

It could be that the documents they need you to sign are concerning the fact that you do understand that it is your responsibility to move your 2nd pillar to new employer, for example.
Or that you won't be insured by them after you leave.

Or that you won't be insured by them after you leave. | | | | | Last job I left they wanted me to sign three documents:
- confirmation that I understand my responsibilities regarding confidentiality etc still apply
- permission for the pension company to contact my new employer, with new employer details etc
- right to take on accident insurance for a certain period at the same rate, which I think you have to specifically decline if you don't need it
The first one is common, but I declined their initial version which had a load of extra stuff in it and we agreed on an simple acknowledgement of my ongoing responsibilities referencing my contract.
Second and third ones I took away with me, although they wanted me to complete them there it is nothing to do with the company.

This I wanted to hear. So I don't need to do any paperwork with an ex-employer, everything transfers automatically? (regarding pension)
I still don't have an idea what is that document, hopefully, tomorrow I will know more.
Thank you so much for the help everyone, I really appreciate it. | Quote: | | | | | Last job I left they wanted me to sign three documents:

2nd one is one of the possibilities.
May I ask did you sign 2nd one or not? | Quote: | | | | | It could be that the documents they need you to sign are concerning the fact that you do understand that it is your responsibility to move your 2nd pillar to new employer, for example.

But I need to be very careful not to be scamed somehow, because I know that I cannot unfortunately trust the ex-employer.

Old pension funds sends you a statement of your vested benefits and a form to complete saying where they should be sent.
New pension fund gives you their details, which you put on the form to send back to the old fund.
