Maternity Leave for miscarriage after 6 months

Hi all,
I am asking this on behalf of someone who is grieving.

Is miscarriage after 6 months entitled for maternity leave in Switzerland by law?
If yes, what kind of document would be needed to prove pregnancy and miscarriage to the HR?

Thank you in advance!

you should check the employment contract. often there can be more favourable provisions than provided by law.

Re: Maternity Leave for miscarriage after 6 months

My condolences to your friend.

This from a group that supports those who have suffered miscarriages:

If the pregnancy lasted at least 23 weeks your friend should be eligible.

Some companies might have more generous policies.

The site covers other legal questions as well. It might be helpful to contact this group for further information.

Wishing your friend all the best.
