Apply for RAV support after out of job 7 months

Hi,

Does anybody have experience with such case: a person being employed fo 13 months, then resign and takes 2 months break. After 2 months break looking for a job but still not registered on RAV. After another 5 months (basically living from savings) a person applies for RAV (meantime applying for a jobs but not registered to RAV). Is the support calculated from last 12 months meaning only 5 months when a person worked or it is taken into account that livings from savings first and then only applying for RAV?

Thank you for your advices,

Nothing will be backdated. You should have advised them when you first left employment, then negotiated to take time off/suspend yourself...

They will expect some substantial job hunting evidence for at least 1 month before you apply... that means at least 2-3 substantial applications every single week...

But why ask here ? Ask RAV. They will tell you what you can do... but they won't be happy that you chose to leave your job and did not inform them immediately. They know from experience that the longer you are out of work the harder it can be to get you into work again...
