Re: To where can I got with the negotiation of the Job Offer

I have a similar profile (albeit with more years of experience) and can assure you 150K is a good base salary. I doubt you’ll get 180K anywhere as a solution architect unless you’ll end up as a director in the finance industry.

I personally hate it when candidates do this and I have seen a lot of line managers walk away. Imagine it was the other way around?

Unless you have very good reasons, if you want the job and want to start on a good note say "thank you very much when do I start"
Yawn, time to get into the real world and understand that we live in a market place for talent. It's each employees' duty to maximize how much of the pie they grab for themselves and every penny you leave on the table goes to some shareholder who couldn't give a sh*t about you when the next round of lay offs come and "shareholder value" needs to be prioritized.

If the OP has discovered that their value in the market place for what they do is higher, they have every right to ask for what they are worth. The employer has the right to match that or move on to another candidate.

In Switzerland/ Zurich, all sectors, including Banking & Insurance, are big losers ...

You forgot the countless bodyshops hired by the above....

150K isn't that bad, but if you only have a small chance to get into Big Tech, go for it.
You might get the same base pay, but with the RSU that don't think you're gonna get with your current offer, you might make 30%-40% more with stocks since they start vesting in 1 year or so.
Furthermore, Big Techs have great ESPP and base pay percentage-based bonus too, which can easily be >=15% for 150K base.

In Switzerland/ Zurich, all sectors, including Banking & Insurance, are big losers compared to Big Tech, namely, Google, Microsoft and Amazon, with the latter aggressively hiring Solutions Architects these days.

Big tech do indeed pay top buck for SA roles and 150k base is easily achievable for mid-senior SA. Usually they have 80/20 or 70/30 split of base vs bonus. And then various benefits and allowances, RSUs, etc.

Keep it mind that "Solutions Architects" are pre-sales roles. customer facing, quota to carry, etc. It's actually more about selling than tech...

you can start and then wait for the offers from the other companies. if still within the probably period, you're free to quit/renegotiate with the offers in hand.
Perhaps this is cultural but I, as an American, would not think this early-exit-for-cash as the classiest of options. If I hired someone who accepted the job and then they left for somewhere else for more money during the probation period, I would hope they could provide a better reason than the pay for leaving.

I can see the other side which might point out that the company legally has the right to terminate the contract during the probationary period but I've not seen that actually done in my time.

Hi friends,

I'm an Solution architect with 10 years of experience and
I received a job offer for role of Enterprise Architect IT & Cloud with 150K CHF Salary (What I asked in the beginning) in a non-tech company in Zurich.

I wonder to where can I go with the negotiation?
In addition to that I'm in advanced process with 2 other companies (Big Tech) and the total compensations should be a way more.

Main points:

1. I want the first role
2. I want to keep the good relationships that company (HR/Hiring manager)
3. It is not possible to wait for the Big Tech's companies actual offers.

I would love to have your opinion about how to approach that situation.

Thank you
I suggest thanking them for matching the salary you requested and then ask about..
- Vacation
- Bonus
- Company stock purchase plans
- Education/tuition coverage for any children (e.g. International School)
- Mobility/Transportation Services/Payments
- 2nd Pillar retirement benefits
- Home Office setup
- Use your imagination to add to the above list.
