Desperately looking for employment in Zug or anywhere - your advice, leads….anything

Dear EFs,

I am British and in CH the last 20 years with dual citizenship - looking for a job with absolutely no luck up to this point.
Searching daily all job-sites and applying to any job that I can apply! I've been in the aviation industry the last 18 years, in lots of functions, from
Operations, Product/Project Management, Customer Service, Safety & Security, etc.
I was 'forced' to move to the Zug area due to my partner's job in Zug while pregnant to avoid her long commute from the Airport area…

I am not focusing in the Zug area only - I certainly willing to commute.
I am looking for any type of office function. HR seems to constantly 'categorize' me strictly under aviation and seems they don't want to even considering to
apply my previous functions in any other area…

Please PM me if you would like to receive my CV & references.
Any advice or leads would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

I understand Gate Gourmet are looking for various roles at the moment. As you'll know, they're not all waxy buns and cheap chardonnay

Commiserations with HR, try to avoid them if you can. Pimp anyone with a link anywhere. One issue perhaps worth remembering: be somewhat pushy. Don't react passively, waiting for job ads to appear - write letters (not emails) to line managers and tell them who you are and what you'd like to do for them, why you want to work there. Make up your job description and keep it brief.

Twitter is remarkable for finding out who's who in a company.

Native English speakers with corporate experience are strangely few and far between, apparently. With your experience, you certainly have something to offer. Don't give up!

This is not a short term option but you could consider teaching aviation English. It is a specialization you may be able to quickly master based on your background.

Check you local English teachers associations and look for some books.

Good luck
