Salary calculator

http://www.salaryexpert.com/

While searching this site and the WWW to give a work college some info about what he should be paid I found this Salary calculator.
Seems to be quite accurate to me.

Re: Salary calculator

EVerything I select ends wikth the response with "Add to Order" meaning that they want money for it. Thats seriously diminishes the greatness of the site for me.

Re: Salary calculator

Hi All

I thought the salaries calculated for ZH were rather high - either that or I am being seriously underpaid...(and so are most of my friends)

Re: Salary calculator

umm........ for physicists with phd's this site is way off unless there are a few guys in zurich earning over 500k each and balancing out the stats.

wish i was earning that much, but then i'd be travelling and not earning anything

Re: Salary calculator

Maybe its time to renegotiate the salary ..The normal salaries in ZH are 20-30% less.

Re: Salary calculator

Maybe its only close in Engineering. It was spot on for what I can expect in UK and the CH is spot on Mr average.

Re: Salary calculator

Au contraire. The variance indicates that the upper quartile reflect an uncertainly perhaps related to the inability to the sample group to hold their ale. Therefore the confidence interval must be dramatically collapsed.

It seems that my salary is also to low - might be good tool for negotiations...

However I am in black at the end of month - I am happy... hmmm... but I will complain about my renumeration...

Re: Salary calculator

Crikey, looks like I'm getting well and truly screwed over!

"The Customer Service Manager working in Zurich now earns an average annual salary of 134,978. Half of those in this position would earn between 104,446 and 188,159 (the 17th and 67th percentiles). These numbers are derived from real, area specific, survey data."

My current wage = 55kCHF (!), although since I'm in a small company (less than 10 employees) and more Project Managing than Personnel Managing, I suspect my wage is actually pretty accurate

Re: Salary calculator

I does not matter if you are black at the end of the month - nothing wrong with asking for more renumeration - there are different shades of black. Unless you just want to subsist.

Re: Salary calculator

We should set up a website called : "What am I worth ?" along similar lines to "Am I Hot or Not ?" where punters can put up their CV and others can pitch in and vote with what salary they are worth....

That site keeps telling me it can't find any jobs, but I found another one in German that seems very accurate. Use Google Translate for English.
