According to 20 Minuten are the rates relatively fixed at 50-100 depending on the details.

Depends on the kind of day that you're having. Please choose one of the following:

a) Feeling blah.
b) Disgruntled
c) Absolute worst day of not only your life, but of all lives everywhere, thoughout time
d) Not so bad, actually.

Also, are you getting married to a non-EU national who 'forgot' and overstayed their visa by several months? This may also affect our calculations.

I understand why you're asking. After all, nobody's situation is exactly like anyone else's so it's worth asking even if the application of common sense could lead you to the correct answer.

Re: Salary Expectations

well at least 500K per month. You can't survive on less than that. In Switzerland, your servants must have servants, after all.

Salivary Expectorations

Firstly, many thanks for all your helpless replies.

To answer phdoofus, I'm actually feeling e) gruntled. And yes, I can coincidentally fix LHCs. At present, I am unable to say what it would be coincidental to, please ask me again last week.

OK, to summarise, I seem to be worth somewhere in the range of
"not-a number" through "nicht zu viel", "50-100", "500k/month", "thruppence ha'penny per fortnight" (tempting), "2 sheep" (very tempting) and peaking at "A LOT"
But I'm still not sure that this reflects accurately my knowledge, experience and general smartness of my @rse; I will, after all, be responsible for 600% of a major company's headcount of 18,000,000,000 staff. OK, somehow I can hold down a senior job like this with many years experience, yet I still don't know what I'm worth in the market; but, hey folks, that's no reason to take the piece, we all get things wrong sometimes (except me, of course...).

(Interestingly enuff, past experience showed that one of the major financial institutions ide Schwiiz has so many IT architects that one can walk from Züri to London and then on to New York just by stepping from architect to architect. I mentioned this to someone, and he told me that I was full of guano. I had to concede that it is only possible if they are laid end-to-end rather than side-by-side. He proceeded to point out how remote were the chances of even a single it architech getting lai... Anyway, enough of this frippery!)

So, after considering all your good advice, I feel I have the confidence to push harder for significantly more than the PPP equivalent of my previous salary; thus, I'm going to hold out for a double cheeseburger (and the taxi fare home, of course - that goes without saying, really).

Finally, I saw this poster that reminded me of the importance of my goals - I hope it makes you all think of me too.

Again, thanks for your input, please keep putting it in at every opportunity!
