Salary revision

I started working with a company which is established in the US in their new Swiss office beginning of this year.

In the negotiation, i were asked how much i would like as salary, so i did the calculation on several salary calculators online, took the average and asked for 10% less (i were actually in need for the job and i always liked working with this company), the negotiation went through to a lower salary as it is just a start up in Switzerland, so i accepted.

Now after nearly 8 months working, the business is going so well, i managed to go way beyond my responsibilities & even learned & started working in new fields (All IT Related)

I've been bit struggling so far on my current salary specially with the alimentary payments after separation which is 40% of my net income (Calculated by court), today i were looking at http://www.bfs.admin.ch/bfs/portal/e.../salarium.html and realized that my current salary is 65% of the lowest rate.

My question is, can i renegotiate the salary after one year?, i'm on open contract.

Re: Salary revision

Don't know what you mean by open contract - you mean it is a permanent job?

If you have a performance review with your employer, then use this to point out your achievements and to indicate that you think your salary needs to be reviewed (and have a figure in mind based on the market rates for your position).

If you are not happy and think you can get more elsewhere, then tart up your CV and start looking.

Cheers,
Nick

Re: Salary revision

Takes 2 to sign a contract.............and the same 2 to modify it.

If the start-up is going well, then ask for more, if it's not, look for another job
