Indian citizen - English-speaking employment in/around Lausanne

Hi all,

My partner is an Indian citizen who is currently looking for an English-speaking job in consulting/commerce in the Lausanne/Geneva area.

From my online research it has gotten very clear that most companies do NOT sponsor visas for foreign nationals and I am looking for advice on this topic. Are there ANY companies out there that could sponsor a visa? Are there alternative options?

Thanks very much for all advice!

Consulting/commerce is way too vague.

If she's not very specialized, then no chance. It's not really the company, bern just won't give out a non-EU permit unless it can be shown that there were no qualified Swiss or EU nationals available.

Re: Indian citizen - English-speaking employment in/around Lausanne

Hi,

Need help. I am having L permit and this is my 2nd year as I am working through an Indian company for a reputed swiss company in Zurich. Since I cannot apply for L-B visa due to my company regulations and also due to scarcity of work permits in switzerland for non EU, please suggest me a better option out of the below:

1) is it possible for me to change my job in my existing L permit?
2) is it possible for me to apply on my own for a B permit ?

Thanks for your help.

as i understand L permit is issued specific to certain customer for which you're working, one of colleague was banned from swiss/EU for a year for having L permit to 1 customer and working for someone else,,

If the company wants you, they will get the permit for you.

The only question is: do they really need/like you?

If you are in IT maybe you have implemented things in such a way that it would take years for somebody else to understand the mess. Maybe the company is willing to keep you just to keep things working properly?

Hard but doable, ask the company if they would hire you directly instead of asking the indian middleman for a new guy.
