Hi All!
Looking for a treny/posh restaurant in Basel with good ambience...everything I a looking at appears to be a hotel restaurant or old barn/chalet type place. Does that type of restaurant exist in Basel.. Any suggestions? Thanks so much.

Noohn and Acqua are as much about looking good as feeding your face

I've heard that Acqua is supposed to be fantastic.

I would recommend Stucki. The best for me so far.

I have been to Acqua. Food was amazing! But to big portions. I had the four course menu and couldn't finish it (usually a big eater). Would go for three courses next time and really enjoy it, and the wine, instead.

Good winelist to. I think you'd be happy there.

Eyipso.. SP?? in Gundelli has a wonderful resturuant. I also second Noohn and Aqua but I find Noohn a bit pretentious..

That's also a good restaurant. Don't buy drinks there thou. Way too much liquor for them to be tasty.

And I recommend that you make reservations if you're going to Acqua.

I was about to tell them to absoloutley have some cocktails there. I can personally recomend the Superior Mojito ( in the summer!)

Buchelli on Cinema St I think thats the street? makes the BEST cocktails in Basel. Bombay crush is so nom nom nom

They really really really are so delish
Kumqaits, Limes, and gin Its a sour but sweet fresh cocktail and it is likely if you go with girlfriends that guys will buy your drinks !
