Looking for scenic restaurants..Lausanne, Montreux...

And anywhere between.

I will be getting married in March and we have Italian and Indian family present for the registration which will take place is Morges.

We would like to take them out for lunch to a nice place that sports views of the Swiss landscape (beautiful as it is)....and great food!

Not super swanky, but charming and beautiful would work.

Please let us know if you have suggestions and your personal favorites.

If the weather is cooperating, a lunch cruise on the lake may be what you are looking for.
From my experience, the food is quite adequate, and the scenery is great.
You may be able to prearrange a special meal.

Haven't been personally but lots of people have recommended Le Deck at Le Baron Tavernier since I got here:

They also have an indoor restaurant if the weather isn't cooperating. It's located above Vevey.

As SwissPete mentions, the boats serve food which looks pretty good... I only ever tried the wine. I think there are also one or two "special" boats per day that provide a slightly more "gourmet" menu.

Check out some of the small wine villages above Cully, in the Lavaux region. I can not say the restaurants are maybe what you are looking for, but the views down to Cully and across the lake to Evian, FR are stunning, plus the panorama of Lavaux vineyards.

Thanks for your wonderful recco. We went to Le Baron Tavennier and had the most sumptious meal yesterday! Of course the deck was closed so we sat in the restaurant that really does have the most stunning views of the lake.

We were initially disappointed because we read on their site that they are closed on Mon, the day of our luncheon. But we still called them and they agreed to open the restaurant for us since we were a large party of 15 people for lunch!!
We're looking fwd to a great family lunch....thanks again for the recco....
