Hi everyone,

Hope I'm in the right place here (it does say entertainment, but I see mainly eating tips). I have a friend here in Switzerland who has entered the talent show on SF1 that is now showing every Saturday night. I just wanted to ask if those of you who are interested in this type of thing would have a look at this clip:

Garry is a fantastic guy with an excellent voice. Having grown up in a home for orphans and being alone in the world hasn't given him many chances in life, but he's a top class bloke nonetheless. I really think his voice is good enough for stardom, so all I ask is that whoever is interested goes and has a look at his performance and hopefully gives it a rating at the end. I've started a facebook group called "Garry Mueller, Switzerland's next Superstar" where you can also find out much more about him if you wish.

This is shameless promotion of someone, I know, and I hope you will all forgive me for it, but I look at how we all help each other in this strange land via the forum and I ask myself why I shouldn't try to use our network to help Garry? He has no family and very few friends who can help him out, much like most of us when we first arrived here. He would be so greatful for anyone's support and would gladly take up contact with any of you who would like to talk with him. He speaks very good English.

We liked him the best last night

Thanks, Jo-Jo. I'm really pleased to see that at least one other person finds him interesting. Sometimes I wonder if I'm just biased because of our friendship. Believe me, he's capable of much better than what we saw on TV last night. He was just nervous (as we saw from his body language and terrible piano playing). Now that he's through to the next round, hopefully he'll relax a bit and deliver the kind of singing I know he's capable of. I think people will be quite surprised.
