Hey guys


I am going to Tapadera tommorow evening for dinner with my mum and have managed to get myself a bit over excited to have dinner with her for the first time in ages. Anyway, I told her the food there is great which I know from eating when they catered for us. But, Can anyone recomend me particular food that is the best on their menu?
I have heard that the mango margheritas are delicious but I was also wondering about food?

I had the chicken burrito i think and it wasn't bad but it definately wasn't mexican. I think even the cheese was swiss. I guess just remember that nothing is what u will be used to, its all got a swiss twist to it.

And yes I know what you're saying JustRose but I think its also a case of being here too long and you are too easily pleased. I am such a bad person to eat out with because I feel bitterly dissapointed and would just prefer to cook for myself, But also now after living here for a year anything remotely different I appreciate. That said, I miss Chinese and even Swiss Chinese doesn't do it for me... Yet!

Theres a great Chinese resturant in Lorrach called 'Hong Kong' I end up there once a week with my Misses, if you miss chinese try it.

Have you tried Xiao Lu's? They do a great menu and even offer home delivery.....hmmmm yummy yummy yum

Xiao Lu's is good but i also understand completely what memonge is saying. There isn't much in Basel that hasn't been turned into a Swiss version of whatever food your after.

Lorach does have some nice restaurants and is close by to Basel. Mykonos, for example, is good greek. I don't know about mexican or chinese restauranrs there though.
