Hello everyone! I've been based in Bern since May 2010 but am still mapping the city for favorite places.

Do you have a favorite cinema for films shown in original language, particularly of the foreign/art house variety? I've been to CineMatte and two others (blanking on names at the moment) but perhaps you have more ideas.

It's not like there is a shortage of cinemas in bern. There must be more here per capita than anywhere else in the world me thinks.

Anyway, best way to find 'original' language films is through Cineman.ch. You can filter movies by language. Enjoy

+ keep an eye on Marzili Open Air Cinema (I believe it's showing films at the end of July). The program will be published in May and the films are usually shown in original language.

Thank you Raaaabert, jj muge, gflorezv for the tips - a couple of the cinemas you mentioned I hadn't even heard of yet and Bern definitely seems to have no shortage. Lucky us!
