Can you please review them, Wolly? Links to restaurant websites aren't helpful in getting an (objective) opinion.

Poisson = http://www.hotelglaernischhof.ch/de/content/le-poisson
Marisqueira = http://www.marisqueira.ch/8301.html

Bianchi -- too new and also a bit too expensive for me
Fischstube -- usually fully booked, beside being very expensive
Poisson --- been in the Italian outlet of the Hotel Glärnischhof, absolutely excellent at affordable prices, so that I am fairly sure that the Poisson should be good

and so we come to the Marisqueira. a charming place with a remarkably good service and excellent meals, for example excellent Bacalhau. And praiseworthy Portuguese wines on offer. So that it is a place I can really recommend.

Quick question, as I don't want OP to have the "tram museum" experience I had based on you recommendation. Have you been to either restraurant in recent times?

The visit to the Marisqueira was less than three years ago. To my experience, restaurants stay similar for decades but, unfortunately or luckily, can change within days. Add to this, that the individual differences between different waiters/waitresses within the same restaurant can be "worlds".

And I have read recent visitors reports about the Marisqueira and they were at least as positive as my memory.

And the Tram Museum btw. gets praise regularily from many people. Sure, it is not the Imperial War Museum, or the Science Museum, or the RAF Museum in Hendon, or the Musée Nationale des Automobiles
http://citedelautomobile.com/fr/home in Mülhausen, but what do you expect ?

Take the Rietberg-Museum which is a really great museum and has developed really nicely over the past 50 years, but which, if you compare it with museums in that field in London and Paris of course is almost irrelevant.

In larger museums, you have to make your choice. I still remember my visit to the Prado in Madrid, where a supervisor told me to pick two painters I liked, visit THEIR places and then GET OUT. And so I opted for Canaletto and Turner, which indeed was enough. I have followed that advice several times since then in large museums, and can confirm that it IS the way to go.
