Lausanne budget restaurant guide

Am wondering if this question has been posed before. Searching for some budget restaurants (Swiss, European...just not fast food) in Lausanne. Any good recommendation that won't cost an arm to dine out in this beautiful city?

p/s: Well, nearby small towns around Lausanne should be okay too. Merci!

Re: Lausanne budget restaurant guide

Good "normal" food: Le Raisin at Place de la Palud.
Chinese: Chez Xu at Riponne or Petit-Chêne
Pizzas and Foccaccia: Brasserie de Chateau at Riponne
More Pizzas: Pinocchio on Avenue de la Harpe
Burgers: Holy Cow at Bel Air
Fondue: Café de l'Evêché at the Cathedral
Easyfood Food Court with Chinese, Indian, Burgers at Bel Air

Cheers

Re: Lausanne budget restaurant guide

I had to share this here becuase it was my first OMG moment in Switzerland. When I arrived I went to the tourist office asking this same question, and in my mind thinking a meal for under 10CHF. When the employee said, "So, around 30 CHF?" I think I gasped, blushed, mumbled something and scuttled out of there as fast as I could feeling very poor all of a sudden.

Re: Lausanne budget restaurant guide

We have tried Chez Xu and Pinocchio, got away with under 25 CHF from both places.
Will give this list a try, thanks for sharing

Hey Stamplover,

Check out Café St. Pierre. They have great food for relatively reasonable prices: http://www.thelausanneguide.com/2012...st-pierre.html.

Bon appetit!
