Hen Party Basel

Hi Guys,

I need some help, im organiseing a hen party for a very dear friend of mine. She wants Dinner and Drinks.

Does anybody have suggestions? Her fav restaurnat is Papa's so ive already mailed them asking do they have any offers (eg. Cocktail on arrival and dinner for set price)

I just want to make it very special for her ... any and all suggestions welcome Where to go? (other than Paddys, Papas, Pickwicks & Redrocks).. Games? Dress Up?

What made your Hen/Stag special? Special touches??

Thanks

Getting people there that she wouldn't expect would be a good one (I don't mean the husband or her former gymnastics teacher, obviously ). Maybe if old school friends are reasonably easy to get in touch with, you could try getting them over, for example.

Good idea, was also looking into a scrap book type thing, where each friend has a page to write something on like a memory... also to stick in a pic of the two of them together.

Re: Hen Party Basel

what does she like? is she outgoing and crazy? maybe make a checklist of some pretty daring/fun things she has to complete before the end of the night? a pole dancing lesson for her and close girlfriends?

I completely agree, i think the food is awful and meat is a mystery lol. Service is slow and its completly over priced.

But its her fav and she is an unbelievable picky eater

I know Paddys well... possibly a lil too well LOL.

We know many of the lads that drink there because we all work together. So plan to get away from them lol. Our crowd drinks in Paddys/ Pickwicks/ Redrocks so thats why i was looking for some where a lil different.

Heard Cafe des Artz is alright... think they do cocktails.

I wouldn't necessarily classify it as shit, but it's definitely not "it" if you're used to the real deal.

Cafe Des Artes has style and an extensive list of single malt whiskeys..... for a classy (at first) hen night - I wish they still had live music (Do they? Haven't been to town a long time)

Re: Hen Party Basel

I am not sure that Café des Arts would be a good place for a hen party. It, and its clientel, can be a little on the pretentious side. I think a group of ladies out on the lash might raise eyebrows, if you know what I am saying.

Plus, for a bar that thinks of itself as a somewhat "sophistiqué", there is no excuse for serving mojitos made with Rose's lime cordial, like they did to me a few years back...!

Cargo Bar, down by the Johanniterbrücke, might worth stopping by, at least for a while. Eo Ipso in Gundeli is a pretty relaxed place and they do fairly decent cocktails. Unfortunately, it's just a little out of the way.
