Reasonably Priced Beer in Zürich

Somebody was complaining a while back about the price of a drink out in Zürich.

Thought I would start a thread where people can enumerate reasonably priced places.

The Kafi Öfeli at Rautistrasse 281 has Erdinger Weizen for SFr6.50 for a large bottle which for me is Basel prices about 10 years ago.

Mrs Nickatbasel had a coffee and a slice of cake, NickatbaselJnr had a Kindersirup and a Butterbrezel and I had a cheese and ham toastie. Total cost SFr25.40

Cheers,
Nick

6.50 reasonable? Give over, that is still 5.30€, way over "normal" prices.
http://www.ryans-irish-pub.com/ 4,70€ for a Weizen and a bag of salt 'n vinegar.

Re: Reasonably Priced Beer in Zürich

That's in Weil am Rhein, which is near to Basel. Doesn't count.

Cheers,
Nick

Geez, that is cheap. I went out and had one mixed drink in rheinfelden, vodka and 7up and paid CHF 10.00. Blew my budget on that one drink, was a short night.

Re: Reasonably Priced Beer in Zürich

On the Swiss side that is possible. There is a Rheinfelden in Germany, Which is a bit of a dump.

Cheers,
Nick.

6.50CHF is perfectly reasonable in Zurich more normal price is 8.00-8.50CHF however I live near germany and more used to paying 2.50Euro for a .5l beer which is what it should really be
