Paddy Reillys for the rugby

Anyone, what's it like for the internationals?

usually record & watch at home in the evening but gf's son has taken interest in rugby and we want to watch match with Ozzers live tomorrw.
Have seen matches @ red lion, which is ok, but not really a sports atmosphere (once during 6Ns they turned the volume right down at request
of conventional swiss post-shopping z'vieri kaffeklatchers, which wasn't very impressive)

is Reilly's big enough with enough/big enough screens, with commentary loud enough?

thanks in advance for any heads up

I assume you're referring to Paddy Reilly's in Zurich? They have many screens and will probably show all the weekend's rugby games, as well as some of the EPL football games. It'll probably be a large, boisturous crowd, so I'm not sure if it'll be suitable for a young 'un.

Brick Top! - when I throw a dog a bone, I don't want to know of it tastes good...

yes Zurich. sounds perfect. my 16 yo is as tall as me (6'2"), taller with the hair and the others are also 16 & 19 so no young ones, and one fo them is no stranger to scrums.

thnaks for the info

AFC has made some interesting contributions
Re: Paddy Reillys for the rugby

I find the atmosphere much better in the Oliver Twist (Rindmarkt) Niederdorf area. Especially for an England game.

Yes I've been there for matches and if I'm alone and want the banter and atmosphere for myself, it's excellent. But not the best with debutant(s) in tow, who want the rules & tactics explained. A bit small, odd layout, relatively small screens (although these may have been upgraded) and, for England matches, seems to be not a few hooray Harrys.

Paddy's was mixed. I arrived with the lads about 10 mins before kickoff.
Place was rammed and they had the Wendyball on the big screen until it finished and a couple of the small ones. We managed to bag part of a table opposite one of the small screens (also with good sight the one with the Sweatty-Saffer match on) so ok, but bascially surrounded by footie supporters who, as we know, are another breed entirely. by the time my GF arrived the footie crowd had well taken over our end of the place; had to employ a few League-style barges to make a lane.
Coldest Guinness I can remember having since the USA.........

might have a 3rd debutant in tow on Sat and may well revert to the REd Lion where Freebooter's masterclass can procede in relative calm.
