Hello and welcome to the Forum The Korean Pavillon provides a wide range of Korean dishes served in authentic surroundings (Badenerstrasse 457, 044 492 33 32).
Well, authentic for Zurich...

I've seen Korean tour buses outside Bambushain often. I don't know if that gives an indication of how good the food is - but it is BYO
Address:
Bambushain
Vogelsangstrasse 33
8006 Zürich
Tel. +41 44 363 22 28
Fax +41 44 363 22 25
Open hours:
Mon-Fri 11.30am-2.30pm/6.00pm-11.00pm
Sat 6.00pm-11.00pm
Sun closed
You take tram 9 (from Bellevue) or 10 (from Central) and get off at Winkelriedstr tram stop. Tales about 7 mins.

I highly recommend Yumi Hana, which is located at:
Schützengasse 7
8001 Zürich
Tel. 044 211 57 57
It's a fairly small restaurant (maybe 12 or so seats), but they also do take-away. In summer, they have "alfresco" tables outside.
The food is quite good - they have most of the popular Korean dishes. During lunch hours, it can be quite busy, so you sort of have to "eat and run" so that other people can sit down.
In addition, the back part of the restaurant sells a wide variety of Korean and Japanese food at very reasonable prices.
Very yummy! |

Is it still open? I had a feeling it's been closed for a while.

I think those above 3 are all in Zurich. There are 3 in Geneva, 1 in Luzern, 1 in Lausanne and 1 in near Basel- Germany. The Korean Pavillon is been quite long times and focus on locals. I think good place for experience. Bambushain is more for Korean tourists or/and visitors. It is typical taste. Yumi Hana is casual Korean food place and sells Korean and Japanese products togather. This place is rather cheaper and small.
You can buy some pre-cooked food items from Yumi Hana to cook @ home, too.
Enjoy! If you have any Q for recipe or/ and, I can help you.

walking away from the main station down Bahnhofstrasse take the first left. there is a Korean place next to the shirt shop. tried it at lunch - sort of fast food - but it is very good and full of Koreans which must be a good thing.

Might be the way they spell it on the menu. same for Dolsot bibimbop... well maybe Yumihana doesn't have dolsot (hot stone bowls right?). There's a new Korean Restaurant near Grimselstrasse tram stop on line 2 (towards Farbhof). Not sure of name but it's on Badenerstrasse just past the conspicuous "Casino" tat shop & restaurant (??). This new place is smaller and only experience there wasn't awe inspiring but not terrible either.
In general I think Korean food is not bad in Zurich at all

'Akaraka' in Zürich-Altstetten is a great new choice for Korean food: http://akaraka.ch/
The menu choice is limited but the dishes are fresh and rather authentic. The restaurant is easily reachable by tram #2 (tram stop right in front of the restaurant) or via 'Altstetten' train station and a 5-minute walk.

Is there another Korean Restaraunt where I can get Kimchijigae and DOl sot bibimbap ? | | | | | I went to Yumihana for lunch last week. I had Kimchi Zjige ... seems like the same dish as you have asked about above but with a different spelling.
Vegetables in a spicy Kimchi flavoured broth served with steamed rice on the side. There were a few pieces of meat in it but the dish was all about the broth and the veggies. It was fantastic.
You really have to go there. And when you do, make sure you look at the items in the shop. I always come home with so much food stuff !
