Warhammer Basel

Hi everybody,

Does anyone know a club or shop for playing warhammer in Basel area? Any players in the forum?

Re: Warhammer Basel

Hi!

I tried with them but most of they decided just to play in German. Impossible for me at the moment. I have my armies in my country, so I have to start new one!

Looking forward people to set up a group of players.

Regards!

Hi there!
If you fancy to try Blood_Bowl just let me know. Much cheaper to start anew and English-speaking player available (myself).

I still remember that in the very begining I used to play Blood Bowl. For sure I would like to play! Do you have your team?

Re: Warhammer Basel

Must say I can't hink of anything more boring

But for anyone really keen, make sure you go to the factory, bar, Museum and huge play area with all the armies just South of Nottingham, not far from East Midlands airport. I used to take my foreign students there and they just loved it.

Well I've got many teams...
As a partial excuse I can say that in the last 5 years many independent companies started to produce fantasy football miniatures which made it even cheaper to build up a BB team.

If you want we can arrange a meeting so I can explain the current rules (will take 1 hour max) and maybe have a demo game. Then you can decide if you like it or not. In case you do, there is going to be a tournament in Basel in 3 weeks held by the Warhammer Basilisk Club you know already.

Please send me a PM if anything I said sounds interesting for you

Do you happen to know anything more about this? (Where it's being held and such?)

Re: Warhammer Basel

There is a tabletop club in Aarau, if that's close enough. English shouldn't be a problem. (The most popular systems right now seem to be Warmachine, Dystopian Wars, 40k and Fantasy)

There is a gaming store at Bankverein, they sell warhammer stuff among other things. They open from 12 oclock and are located in the galleria next to the photoshop

Re: Warhammer Basel

Hi All,

(first post), shortly moving to Basel. I play 40k & x-wing. Won't be in the country for a couple of weeks. Would be interested in potentially visiting any clubs, although I only speak English.

Nice to meet you all

Stu

Re: Warhammer Basel

I will start with blood bowl as soon as I will find a painted ork team. Nevertheless I also play 40K, sol when you will come contact with me. Arrived end of last year, so I am discovering the clubs.

I have a huge box of blood angels, sadly I never painted more than 2... Due to bad lighting in my current apartment and lack of time. maybe once I am in Zurich I can get the paints out...

Re: Warhammer Basel

Anyone in Zürich playing WHFB?

I just picked up some Bretonnians, though I'm likely still a month or two from having it all painted.

Hi Cesar,

Where are you from? If you are able to move to Basel we can play something.

Just let me know.

Regards.

Re: Warhammer Basel

I was an avid Undead player. Took my chances with Bretonnia, but stopped playing when I moved to Zurich because I lost the player base.

I've been out of the game for 5 years... But I wouldn't mind taking the skeletons out of the closet

Re: Warhammer Basel

Maybe we can get something going. I'll post back when my army is closer to completion - at the moment it's mainly a lot of plastic parts.

Re: Warhammer Basel

My son is interested in this - Fantasy - anyone got any figures gathering dust that they want to sell?

Specifically looking for Elves or Orcs.
