Thanks, used to go to Wagamamas quite often while I was living in Dubai! Hope it will be just as good, if not as inexpensive.

Re: Wagamama coming to CH

Best news I've heard all day! Can't wait till they open here!

They're pretty expensive back home, but if they keep the same prices here, then it will be on par with Zürich standards. Thanks for letting us know

I was in one in UK on Sat night. OK, but not exemplary. I won't get too excited by it. Service was excellent and attentive though.

Is it a chain Brand? With fixed menus? Does the food taste the same everywhere you go?

Hmmm, maybe it's just me... but I can't get stoked about more monoculture

Me neither, made to measure restaurants, whack it next to MacD's and Starbucks.

Actually it's a bit of an insult to MacD's to compare them to Starbucks

Re: Wagamama coming to CH

I won't hear a word against All Bar One. Apart from not being female, I fit their target market precisely....

O'Neills are invariably crap. As are Hogsheads, Pitcher & Pianos and even Slug & Lettuces.

Re: Wagamama coming to CH

Oddly enough I was in several of those in the last few days too. Owned by McDonalds ironically. They do some good stuff, the pastrami on bloomer is good as is the tuna baguette with lemon mayo. The soup is also good, thick and filling.

As discussed on another thread, check out "Not Guilty" near Oerlikon station. It fills a similar niche...

Zürich in particular is crying out for a good sandwich deli-style. Subway don't cut it.

Re: Wagamama coming to CH

For anyone who wants their oodles of noodles experience to be bankrolled by someone else, the company that does the mystery dining for Wagamama is looking for people to go undercover in the Winterthur/Zurich branches, as and when they open.

All details here, but the basic idea is that they cover the cost of food and drinks for up to 4 people, in return for you submitting a report about the quality of your dining experience (or lack thereof, presumably...).
