Re: is it hard to pick up girls in swiss clubs

What do you think you are explaining? You think Americans, Swedes, and Eastern European girls are "easy". You just insulted so many people and seem oblivious to that. You may think you have experience at the ripe old age of 22, but I assure you, you are still very young and very naive.

I don't have a perfect answer for this question but i try to explain. (I'm a 22 year old swiss girl.)

And yes, swiss girls aren't that easy to get laid as americans, swedish or eastern european girls. But does that make them arrogant or bad?

I hope you'll succeed in meeting nice swiss girls. There are plenty of them.

Nice to know in February I will be in Florida

While clubbing it's very different how girls react on approaches of guys.

First it depends on the club:

There are high class clubs, where girls go to with high heels and super styled. Most of them are looking for rich guys. If you approach them and seem rich, they will chat with you, otherwise they might just ignore you.

There are normal clubs, where girls are still nicely dressed, but not as if it's a horserace. It can also be that they're just wearing shirt and jeans with sneakers like in a bar. Those girl can be normal, bitchy, fun...huge variety of girl types

The second thing:

If a girl has a boyfriend, she clearly shows no interest, turns around or ignores you. This can seem rude.

If a girl is single but no looking - just there to have fun with her friends. She will do the same - maybe more or less nicely telling you she's not interested.

All in all i can say:

Every girl in the world is the same in one point: If you approach her like a douchebag, she'll react bitchy. And every girl is different - one might react on your normal approach not nicely but others will be nice and fun. Just keep trying (but try not to look desperate).

And you also have to see that we have a wide variety of cultures (italians, albanian, spanish, dutch, french, arab, bosnian, turkish..) - from their cultural background not every girl will react the same.

And yes, swiss girls aren't that easy to get laid as americans, swedish or eastern european girls. But does that make them arrogant or bad?

I hope you'll succeed in meeting nice swiss girls. There are plenty of them.

Oh, how I love generalisations.

Every girl I've known, like, ever, likes those.

Ouch. But I guess you did mention in your post that some girls can be bitchy.

I didn't want to insult anyone - i just gave some examples. Let's change it to "not as easy to get as girls from other countrys". Are you happy now?

Just explain the behavior of swiss girls - the ones some of this forum might had bad experiences with.

I mentioned that i'm 22 because of the exact point that i can only speak for what i can see from the people around my age. I'm talking about "girls" not women.

Maryjam, I'm sure you are a nice person and mean well, but I'd just caution you when you go on an expat board full of American, Swedish, and Eastern European members, they will not take kindly to those kind of accusations. I'm sure you understand this. Just know your audience. No hard feelings.

Alas, in my experience, they are even moreso.

Anyway, what you really mean is that Swiss girls have much better knowledge of birth control, and are far less likely to get caught out.

By "other countries", what you really mean is Schwyz, don't you?

Perhaps, but they are largely true.

Re: is it hard to pick up girls in swiss clubs

My advice is save yourself the hassle of clubbing and head out to Schwerzenbach where they have a nice little club....entry is a bit steep at CHF105 but you wont leave disappointed :-)

But in all seriousness when I used to go clubbing I used the "numbers game" approach....if you speak to 100 girls 1 of them is bound to go home with you!

Good luck!

im from america and i just moved to switzerland. im 19 and never been to a club. there was this guy i knew from a long time ago who invited me to a club here with his girlfriend. i was enjoying myself at first. i was dancing with his friends who were all guys though. then i saw this nice looking girl who was dancing with a friend girl. i tap her shoulder and try to talk in her ear so she can hear me and she just moved away from me. she wouldnt even let me speak. i was looking dumb standing around looking at other people have fun. i wasted my money. whats up with the women here? i thought a club is an easy place to dance with girls. why else are they at clubs? i dont know what to do when it comes to flirting with swiss women, please help
There are a few things flawed with what just happened. First off, your 19! And you've never been to a club! It's normal not to be familiar with the atmosphere, feel of going out and talking to girls Getting turned down by a girl can happen everywhere so don't take it too hard Second, hate to break it to you, it's not just you it's also the Swiss girls. Swiss girls are not the most talkative, open, spontaneous, easy people especially when you compare them to American girls back home. What I noticed is that Swiss people have to be somewhat tipsy in order to make a move on a girl or to have anyone flirt with them. You can use the old "Can I buy you a drink?" move but drinks here are so expensive Swiss girls don't like strangers, they don't like things that are not planned, they don't like how you just came up to them. Try getting to know some Swiss girls outside the nightlife scene first and meet up with them in clubs and bars. They will feel more comfortable and open up to you because you are planned, you are not anymore a stranger. You have to really chisel your way into her comfort zone. Welcome to Switzerland!

It's the Swiss-mixed girls and foreign girls that you will have the best luck with regarding flirting, chatting, and having a good time with. Of course there are exceptions. Generally being 19, having no little going out/party experience, trying to pick up women in Switzerland.....ouch......I only hope you have enough patience and your spirit is strong enough!

PS. Try going to other countries like Germany, Italy, Spain or Eastern European countries for a better party experience and better luck with women.

i for one find swiss zurich girls cold...if you venture over to geneva (a quick train ride away), the girls end up being, as Mary pointed out similar to american, swedish or eastern european.

You probably find them cold because they are not responsive to your moves.
