I have been away from the forum for too long. I must say I missed this cozy motley of feelings: a dash of exasperation, a fair amount of outrage but always mixed with sheer amusement.
Indeed you have! Missed you my friend. Hope all is well

Re: is it hard to pick up girls in swiss clubs

Ironically, I find that the guys who complain about girls who prefer tall dark men usually are the ones who wouldn't consider a short, round woman but only want the hot blonde.

So we're not allowed to be shallow, but you are?

(I really shouldn't get involved in this discussion, but I just can't resist...)

I wonder if those muscle-talkers actually ever approach the hot blondes (who certainly can't wait for those entertaining pick-up lines).

Might be different in the French part, but in Zurich do the ladies invite guys to talk to them by looking like this in the club:

"Do you want a big banana" would work.

That's a cute, feisty primate.

Anyways, I always felt that French, as a quite ceremonial and ornate language doesn't help the cause. I don't know why but ZH seems less stiff, not as..prescribed. But I am no specialist on that kind of situ, nor really care to be. Activity clubs are better, imho, than booze induced seedy places, or desperate bars.

I know Tom will love this, but Lugano seemed like a nice place to be if you're single (and preferably young) - male or female.

Guess you've not been in ZH too much then MC? Women here are like the Swiss equivalent of "Does I look bothered? Because I'm not bothered". Return to dragging on Marlboro and swigging RedBull. It's amazing that the natural lifecycle of copulation, birth, life then death still continues here to be honest.

Lol, I bet it does, just not on a bar table...(I hope).

I hang out with philo people who sing large symphonic pieces, surf, cook, knit and paint - so my perception is bound to be skewed.

Teaching young people for long, though - the uninviting pose is a pose, oder? So easy to stick out then, no effort. Just laugh and be confident? Or maybe it is a turnoff these days, with all the fashionable life fatigue.

GM - I know Lugano ain't Italy but I think I can only go there with a chaperone, or pretend that I am a fake blonde, or something.

Said the right way, I'd probably laugh myself to death which is a very positive thing in my case. But then again I'm neither Swiss nor young, tall or blonde.

What I can't grasp, is why people go to clubs if they want to flirt without being judged on their looks. I'll admit to not having been in a club in a long long time, but given the noise level and the atmosphere, it's not like your conversation, charm or sense of humour is likely to get you laid. If the only senses that work are my eyes and my nose, that's what I'll use for filtering purposes.

But I underline, I'm no expert at all.

As for Indians, I remember seeing some really nice eye candy in Kerala. But they were all well above 1.80.

That's odd. Judging by your posts I would have thought that you had enough self restraint that the local population wouldn't need to the protection of a chaperone.

Is there an airport? Do they play piano, debate, endulge in some out-of-the-box stuff? And I don't mean neti pot..

True. Well..as mentioned before, the Eastern European savageness.

I am all about self restraint, hedonists are. We like contrasts, protect them. Which makes me think, I bet the local cold shoulder is just a secret invite to something wild and unexpected! Just think librarians.

I get your view. How do you practice this technique?

Maybe I'll take back the "neti-pot" filter.
