Re: Thai food

My favourite is Five Spice in Wiedikon. There are two and they're both great. Cheap lunch menus.

Then there is Ah Hua. In my opinion, it's a bit more westernized, but if you want your dishes to be 'Thai spicy' just ask the waiter
I prefer the one at Brauerstrasse over Helvetiaplatz, because it's a lot smaller and more personal. The one at Helvetiaplatz is always full and very hectic.

And the comes Roi Et. Probably the most authentic. Serves Thai and Loatian dishes. Very small restaurant, so make sure you reserve. Really nice owners.

En guete!

Re: Thai food

Ban Thai in Adliswil. Superb. Excellent service. Quiet restaurant... all staff are Thai.

Tried Lilly's....yeah, it was pretty good but no air conditioning and the weather was super-hot, and they seemed disorganised...the Pad Thai was a little disappointing, and the only gluten-free they suggested was Chicken Fried Rice...

We walked past the other Thai place "Chiang Mai" in Josefstrasse, right behind the main train station in Zurich and it looks like they have opened a much larger restaurant/take away on the corner behind their other shop... it has scaffolding all around the outside of the building... but if the food is as good as their take away, it should do a good trade.

The new address is Zollstrasse 56, directly behind.

I'd definitely suggest checking that out...

I am a big fan of 'Nooba' at Kreuzplatz. Love their homemade lemonade and the Pad Thai is always beautifully fresh and well-presented...and they have such a nice indoor and outdoor area...I think...

For fast and furious, I also quite like the Chinese at the Chinagarten...

The Thai corner at Langstrasse. They have the most genuine Thai kitchen of all the places i have been to. They've even got sticky rice!
