Games you play

Out of boredom or just sheer fantasy, or simply to relieve one’s stress in free time from work. Whatever you call it but it’s merely a good mean of escapism. I know one can be still in one’s 40’s and act like a teenager but hey it’s fun after all so please don’t be in denial that you do not play those smartphone’s addictive and seductive little games ...

So here we go, I admitted that I have a problem (not). Herewith is my short list of iPhone’s apps that I pound on during my commute to work by train:

Bubble Mania
Dragon Story
Candy Mania
Frozen Mania
Monopoly Bingo

Please come forward you “freaking arcader”. Wonder what’s your list?

I heard that Angry Birds make some people so angry that Apple store pockets more than enough from repairing the cracked displays.

Re: Games you play

I like games I can play at my own pace. I used to enjoy Balloon Bomber on EF.

On my phone, I play Angry Birds: original, seasons and Star Wars. Sometimes I'll find a level I enjoy so much I'll just play that for the next few weeks (recently Star Wars - Hoth - the level with the star destroyer).

I've tried stuff like Cut the Rope (love the music!) but I always come back to Angry Birds.

Re: Games you play

Solo

Currently Destiny 2 & Happy Dungeons on X1 (And yes I like to grind out a game far beyond the Endgame.)

And for fun with the wife on the couch:

Cuphead on X1 and Mario Kart on the Switch

I love gaming since my first Atari 2600, and will do it till the day I die.

Re: Games you play

Titan Quest Immortal Throne (old I know, but a new Anniversary Edition was released last year and they've just brought out an expansion for it as well).

Grim Dawn - early backer when I heard it was being done by some of the development team also made Titan Quest, then Kickstarter upgrade. Game fully released last year and the expansion Ashes of Malmouth in October.

Both great games by developers who are passionate about their work.

My gaming heaven. Only PC, though Grim Dawn is going to be ported to XBoxOne in the fairly near future. You can forget anything else - I don't do phones.

Re: Games you play

<deep_breath>
These days ?

I'm playing some indie titles I got off the Steam Autumn sale. Machinarium, Bug Butcher, Neon Chrome and the like. Nothing too special. Just something to kill time in between furniture assembly sessions.

I do have a NES hooked up to my TV, which is the only console at the moment which is being used (for lack of necessary furniture at the moment) which I sometimes play some old school arcadey stuff on. I was playing Excite Bike the other day. Ahhhh, the memories.

Before I packed the PS4, I was playing Zero Dawn, No Man's Sky, Destiny (not 2, still keeping that off my table). Haven't playing anything on the xbox for a while now. I need to get the Xbox X and whichever the latest Halo is at that time. Probably still Guardians I'd assume. Or if RDR2 is out by then.

These are all solo games btw. Board games, card games and such I need people for, which is...tough...yeah.

I stay off phone gaming as well. I'd rather listen to music while on the move.

I do not know the reason why you are holding of, but the game is great, the graphics are great, story is good, drops are pretty well balanced, the prestige raid is as it should be hard as and demands a team that knows what they are doing and communicate, micro transactions are cosmetic only, and PVP works in general very good.

But the Endgame lacks challenge and reasons to grind, if you want a game to play some hours a week this will be a great game, if you are a real grinder there are games that offer a better challenge.

There is only 24 hours in a day.

Plus, there is a lot of stuff on my plate right now. Besides, I would really want to play it on an 8th-gen console, so either the PS4 Pro or the Xbox one X, either (or more likely both ) I don't own currently.

PS: Thanks for the details about the game. I'm sure it will be fun. Its Bungie, after all.
