If you're a film enthusiast like me, you might be interested in Kino Z. They organize film screenings every first sunday of the month at Zehntenhaus. It's a house close from Bahnhof Affoltern where a number of events, concerts, parties happen. I often go there on sundays for brunch with the kids, as it's quite family oriented, and I like that there's an eclectic crowd.

Kino Z is a new thing and it's pretty cool as they show films for free, the atmosphere is really friendly and you can eat and drink during the film.

Next screening is on sunday Feb 2, at 8pm.
They're showing AKIRA, the cult manga by Katsushiro Otomo. A must see ! I love this film, for me it's like a landmark in Science Fiction cinema. Not for kids, though

One of these is a drop-in centre for anyone needing help with paperwork and getting letters written, including but not only to do with government documentation, etc.
"Schreibdienst" (literally "writing service"): every Thursday 17h00 - 19h00.

Incidentally, many other social/cultural centres elsewhere also offer such a "Schreibdienst". It is intended for people who have low levels of writing skills, and also for those who do not command enough German. So if you're struggling with that kind of thing, try googling "Schreibdienst" or "Schreibstube" or "Schreibhilfe" in your area.

They'll show a French documentary film called SWAGGER.
