I am from east Asia and in there, 'foot massage' means pushing the acupuncture points in the soles your feet very hard and for a long time.

I tried several foot massage in Zurich and all of them just spent very short time in the foot soles and spent most of the other time other parts, e.g. calf.

Even I asked them to spent more time in the soles, it just turned out that they still changed to calf quite soon. And it was not intense enough as well.

Is it uncommon in here that people massage the soles of other's feet? culture difference?

Or is there any shop you can recommend to have real asian foot massage?

I lived in Asia for a while and experienced a lot of foot massage.

But the few times I had the massages that you described, i.e., pushing very hard and for a long time, the pain is unbearable. And as I mentioned, I am supposed to be used to foot massages.

So I would imagine that no one in Switzerland would like that kind of massages, hence, its going to be very hard to find.

Traditional Chinese massages follow the 'Chi-Flow'.
So if they press a point and it hurts, they believe that means the Chi is blocked. And they will keep pressing till the blockage is cleared. And that is indicated by the pain going away. However that is very challenging especially if you are getting the massage. The first time I winced, they kept focussing on that point for the remainder of the session. Next time, I just kept a poker face and they moved on...... :-)
