Hi

We are going for a 2 night trip to Basel, to sight see and shop can anyone recommend a hotel in the centre with parking and maybe a restaurant.

Hmmm I think that depends on how much you want to spend. I stayed at Basel Kraft Hotel and it was comfortable, simple and had a great restaurant (pricey though) but I do not think they had parking. THe trois rois though, is the nicest hotel in Basel probably but it is freakingly expensive ( I mean around 500 CHF a night)...there are oterh nicer smaller hotels though.
WHy not check bookings.com or hotels.com? I am sure you can have a search with specific needs

We stayed at the Victoria Hotel in Basel, right across from the Bahnhof and it was really fantastic! The double room was more than adequate-- super clean and modern and lots of room There's also underground parking a restaurant inside although there are so many wonderful restaurants downstairs and within walking distance.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful Free juice and snacks in the lobby, a free internet business center complete with color printer and a small but functional gym for guests.
And they are running a weekend special right now.-- check out the website above.

Do you have abudget in mind? I know of a couple more simple cheaper hotels if you are not looking for luxury.

If you're going to do it, do it in style, you should got to Les Trois Rois
