I personally normally don't tip. I ordered a pizza recently and it costed 19.50, if I would have eaten it in the restaurant it would have been around 12 Fr. This should cover the costs imo, but out of convinience you can give 20 if you pay cash, instead of counting out 19.50.
where can you get a pizza for 12 chf????

Saw an ad in Nyon the other day for ‘mini’ pizzas for CHF10! I can never finish a regular pizza so this appeals to me.

Local Italian guy sells the Margherita for 13 CHF, "normal" size. Prosciutto e fungi for 16.

Back to topic, I never order food to home. Either properly served at the place (respect the food), or there's always something to eat at home.

One of the places near us used to do any pizza for collection for CHF 10. They recently increased it to CHF 12. Delivery I think they are more like 18+, which puts them in competition with a better place.

I never used to tip takeaway delivery on the rare occasions we ordered it. However, we now live up 6 flights of stairs, so I now give them at least a couple of CHF pour encourager les autres to bring it up rather than have me run down.

Running up 6 flights of stairs is excellent exercise and a great way to get a free sprint interval (30s at maximum heartrate). I do it every day while carrying a bike.

So you’re saying that they should be giving me a discount for the free exercise?

Re: Tipping delivery drivers?

So, 11 years on, have we definitively decided on this?

Restaurant: Round up to nearest 10, unless meal exceptional.

Delivery Guy/Gal: Can do it in app afterwards if they were good, but in general not needed.

Postperson: No - maybe a nice tip at Xmas if you like them.

Heavy Goods Delivery: If they do a good job bringing your sofa in and getting rid of the other one, give them 20 so they can get a beer or two after their shift.

Removals People: They've been humping your shyte around all day, give them a little bonus if they're not complete a-holes.

People giving great advice on EF: I'll provide my twint shortly...

I'd never go there because the corner cutting to get to 10 CHF should produce subpar pizzas. However, I cannot claim I didn't know such poverty existed
