I have been asked by the hospital to have my Blutgerinnungswert (blood clotting factor) done by Thursday. I spoke to my Hausartz and I need to go in on Wednesday to have this done. Does anyone know if this is normal to have done in house. I am just concerned I will not have the info I need for Thursday at the hospital. Has anyone experienced this?

It should just be a quick blood test. The doc should have ur results within the hr or so, whether he faxes it through to the hospital or gives u the written results, im not sure.

If the test is the INR then it is just a finger prick test that is easily done in the Dr's office. I had these done regularly & got the result within minutes.
