Re: Married but living apart and meeting on weekends etc.

At least most of you see an end in sight. Mine works away every other month in the middle of a desert in Iraq. So only 50% at home....for the rest of his working life. It's been like this for a year now and growing tired of it more and more. Sure, it makes the time when he's home great, but missing 50% of your life kinda sucks. We can't do the internet thing (he doesn't have internet where he is) so we get at most maybe a 5-10 min phone call most days. Just thinking about all the things he will miss out on is depressing. But he seems to love his job and too bad we all can't say that, I guess.
