No, no... Swiss women decide & then ask their partner on the issue pretending they haven't made their mind up. It's very complex & that is just the tip of the iceberg. You'll never understand if you just jump to conclusions already with these kind of questions...
So ? depending on the subject it's sometimes easier if he thinks it's his idea.
And that applies to women of many nationalities.
Don't even try to understand, we intend to keep you busy and guessing

Re: Swiss men weak, Swiss women strong, what's your take?

I suppose it is a bit of a generalisation, but if Swiss man behaved like real men (read "gentlemen"), the women would probably dress and act differently as well

This is a global phenomena .It is OK with me just leave the fishing and hunting to me
My girlfriend complains that I don't let her cook often enough!

However, this is true.

She is probably the best (female) cook I know, but I am just better!

Re: Swiss men weak, Swiss women strong, what's your take?

Well, there are a lot of factors..... and no absolutes... my take is the following it depends on:
1) German, French or Italian speaking switzerland.... Swiss woman are very different culturally in each part...
2) Career swiss woman or homemaker swiss woman.... if she has a life only in the home there is a greater tendancy for the German Swiss to try and run everything even their man
3) History of the woman's mother in this regard....lots of (swiss and many) women learn from their mom
4) History of the woman's father in this regards, lots of (swiss and many) women subconsciously look to meet a man like their dad
5) Age of the woman (older swiss women +45 ish can tend to be older school while I think the younger want a more balanced relationship)

At any rate no man should EVER EVER EVER EVER get married in Switzerland without a marriage contract.... especially to a Swiss woman if you are an expat or they could be DOOOOMED but that's stuff for another post someday....
Party on dude...

Yes, well the secret is to say "yes, dear", and then do what you've already decided to do!

In Swiss families, I have the impression that the ones that decide family matters -or important matters of any kind- are women.

They are much more direct, taxative and authoritative.

I have also noticed that Swiss women tend to be less feminine. On the same note, I tend to perceive more lesbian women here.

Impressions?

Or, as we say here, "SI, tesorina!"

I still do what I want, though.

Re: Swiss men weak, Swiss women strong, what's your take?

Having met women all over the world, I can safely say that swiss women (including many of my relatives) are the most prickly and overly sensitive that I have come across.

Emancipation got here slightly late and since then, these women have spent all their time making up for this - often in a rather too aggressive way.
Swiss men are suffering.

Awww

As far as I've experienced, they LIKE it when their woman is at the helm.
Most of them are 'Pantoffelhelden' anyway...
