interviewing a parent

Hello everyone,

I've been a member on this forum for a few months now and I am in need of some help, specifically, a contact. Not sure this is the best place for this but I'll try!

I am a graduate student in Multicultural Education and for one of my projects, I would love to interview a parent with a child in school in Switzerland (international school or local). The purpose is to better understand the perspective of an expatriate family regarding their views and experience with education in Switzerland. If you (or a parent you know) is available for a chat over coffee this week or next, I would very much appreciate it! It would be quite informal and shouldn’t take more than a half hour. I can also provide a few sample questions in advance.

This seems like a rather impersonal place for this kind of request but I just moved to Lausanne this year and don’t know that many families yet.

Thank you very, very much in advance.

Karin

Karin, keep in mind that the experiences are going to be very different between those using local schools, and those who have children at an International school. As well, the experiences at public schools vary considerably between cantons, due to the different services being offered. You could probably do a complete thesis on the varying perspectives.
