GP in lausanne

Does anyone have an english speaking (and if the reception person spoke it too that would be great!) doctor in Lausanne they could recommend?

I've not gone to one here before, what is the usual situation? do you just give them your health insurance information etc or do they just bill you and then its up to you to deal with it for the insurance?

Can recommend Dr. Vogel as he's also my doctor. Really nice and seems genuinely concerned. His clinic's no. is: 021 622 88 70. Only thing is his receptionist doesn't speak english, but a few short French phrases should be enough to schedule an appointment.

Depends on the doctor and/ or your insurer. Some doctors bill some insurers direct, other times they'll send you the bill and you pay it then submit it to the insurer for reimbursement.

If it's down to you to pay, there's usually a pretty generous time period, allowing you to claim the money from the insurer before paying it out yourself providing you get the claim in as soon as poss.

An average doctor consult of around 10 mins should cost in the region of 50 CHFs.
