Not sure if this can help but since my brother uses shampoo containing green argil, his hair grows with a better quality.

Does your hair seem to come out when you wash your hair or is it on the pillow when you wake up?

So many factors come into the reasons. Hormones/stress - not enough minerals due to diet.

Try not to get too worried as that will make it worse and make that Drs appt!!
My hair is everywhere.

It happened to me a couple of times as well.

A friend suggested me to try Forcapil (available in France) and in less than 2 months the problem was solved.

The second time I tried another treatment and nothing happend. After a few months (and lots of hair gone ) I decided to go back to France and buy it again: 2 months and problem solved again!

So, I am not suggesting it is the miracle solution, just saying that mix of vitamins and minerals worked good for me.

Hello all,
Since I moved to Switzerland a year ago, I started to loose huge amount of hair. I tried to take the capsule from Bayer, but it didn't work. I am getting very worried. Some say it's because of the water quality here. There is quite some calcium in the water. Anyone has any advice?

Hey, I totally understand how ur feeling.

I also have been loosing hair on and off for the past few years, when I moved here I lost 30%
and all the advise given on here about hormoans, lack of Iron ect is totally correct.
I however had every test in the book and even steriod injections into the effected areas.
This is an extreme measure so dont worry u will not need it.

Just remember hair go's through a cycle and every few years it may become thinner and u may think u are loosing lots, when infact it wont effect you in a visual way and u will be fine.

I am still loosing it on and off in certain areas, and have found the only way to combat it is to be positive, relaxed, take good care of yourself.
Mental happiness really helps with these things.

I hope it passes fast for u, I know its hard but do please try not to worry!

Did you move to Switzerland from a warm climate? I know a few people who moved from Asia that have suffered vitamin D deficiency. Due to the sudden lack of sun. I don't know if there could be a connection but thinning hair was amongst their complaints.
Interestingly certain vitamin and nutrient deficiencies actually lead to extreme bodily hair growth!

I agree. While I do think it is always good to discuss this with a good doctor, usually the body sorts it out, somehow, by waiting it up. Unless one wants to load up on hormones that you miss, steroids or such, there is much one can do. Check the minerals, hormonal balance, vits and relax, lots of relaxing. I would also exclude aggressive hair treatments, hair dye, strong shampoo and would only use some mild stuff from the pharmacy (the shampoo for excema, seborhoic dermatitis or lupus scalp is very very mild). Sometimes it can be an allergic reaction to some hair treatment (mask) that your scalp didn't like, molds will cause this. Or, my friend had to take an IV treatment that contained some protein that caused her artificial lupus, acutely. Hair fall was just a symptom. It's good to discuss all the meds you have been on past few months with a really good doc. Otherwise, it is normal to have your hair renewed, every now and then, mine does it seasonally (reacts to change of warm/cold season, usually spring/fall).
