I wonder what the new craving will be tomorrow?
[hope it won't be brown sugar sprinkled on Graham crackers]

Now I remember an old story that went something like...
a woman had a craving for rapunzel plant, the husband got it for her.. but she ended up having to give her beautiful daughter to a wicked witch, who locked her in a tower and made her hair grow very long..
So be careful where you get that watermellon...

I just saw them at an ethnic grocery store here (sorry I'm in Zurich, so not much help!), but I would hope you could also find them. I am feeling for her (31 weeks along myself), and have been feeling the same way about strawberries and was SO thankful when they showed up, as strawberry jam and sorbet just wasn't cutting it...I needed the real thing. Good luck to you (and your wife)!

Oh how I feel for her.. nothing, absolutely nothing can change that specific craving. If it's a watermelon, then it's got to be a watermelon.
There's something in the watermelon her body needs, I kid you not, the body knows instinctively.
My craving was Jello, orange and lime. Now try finding Jello in Zurich in the nineties.... I cried in the supermarket it was so overwhelming. Finally my husband made Jello out of gelatine and orange Gatorade. I lasted with that mix until my Grandma sent me boxes of the stuff. I ate that and oranges by the kilo.
Good Luck
I'll keep my eyes open for any more watermelons as I'm also in Romandie

Given to me by a Canadian friend and I am really not sure what to do with them (she mentioned me being good at making puddings when she handed them over ...??) | This user would like to thank ecb for this useful post:

But at least she's not craving dirt, or worms or something equally inappropriate.
Good luck with future requests!

Yes indeed - and what you are going to do with the extra 4 when she's craving for marmite or pineapple and tuna sandwiches. LOL. Hope you really enjoy this pregnancy together. Sad I think that being pregnant is so often seen as a 'pain and nuisance' nowadays - I (we) just loved being pregnant. | This user would like to thank for this useful post:
