Re: Newborns

Newborns & Spring have the same effect on me.
I go - Oh wow!! Awesome!! - endlessly.

Have you noticed, plenty of pregnant ladies around again, on the bus, in the supermarket, at work...

Somehow, new life is incredibly inspiring.

I loved anything to do with babies when I was a little girl too, maybe it's our maternal instincts showing.
Well if that is true, that I'm defo not normal. I never played with dolls and always thought boys had so much cooler toys. My daughter was the same. So we are a a pair of mutants

me too..

I never experienced a broody feeling until the day my baby was born and then it was 'ohhhh that's what it feels like'

Re: Newborns

I find weird that society expect broody attack only from girls...
Actually, I think it is 50/50. Or 100/0 the other way, with some.

.... it's amazing how well parents adjust and just cope, without being really really ready, the textbook way..Instincts kicking in and all. I think we go overboard with a lot of prep work, materialistic ways....
Me and my partner always used to remind ourselves of the women in other parts of the world who don't really own anything, so we don't really need to care about all the 'baby crap' that magazines and such like tell you is vital for having a newborn.

Anyway..... If anyone wants to watch some babies... I can recommend a beautiful film by Alain Chabat.

To all soon to be moms, good vibes and stress free nesting.
I should be napping but I am cooking a huuuuuge pot of Cream Veggie Soup. I'll make portions and up in the freezer! It smells so good!

Loving all this positive energy! Due in July with my first and I don't think I have ever received so many warnings & unsolicited advice in my life I know there will be ups and downs, but this thread is so refreshing... Thanks!

Re: Newborns

Yeh! Couldn't agree more. I have a 4 month old and no matter what the day throws at me all I need to do is look at her (although I spend a fair amount of the day gazing at her anyway) and everything is fine....

Baby's rock...

Love

Kath
