Public School rating in Zurich

I have heard there is a website where they tell you how many children goes to university from this school. Does anyone know it?

I am currently staying at Zurich Affoltern and I heard from mums how bad the schools are and only 3% of the children goes to University.

I am intending to move either to Zug (near Hertischule) or Wollishofe (near Entlisberg Schule)

Anybody have children there?

Thanks

Re: Public School rating in Zurich

First, inform yourself about the school system in this country, it is only comparable to Austria and main parts of Germany, and something tells me you are neither Austrian nor German.

Secondly, there are several types of schools, so forget anything you know about "high school" or any concept like it, because you will have to consider things from different perspectives.

Last, keep cool. If your children will follow Swiss curriculum, take it from where they are now: their age. Then you get first hand information about future possibilities from the school, you can change and transfer and take "bridge" exams and so on.

Now click on those links listed here and read with a cup of tea, or latte, or coffee, or mate, or ovomaltine... whatever helps relaxing in your culture.

Re: Public School rating in Zurich

Hello everyone,

I would like to know if there is someone out here having children attending School Allenmoos in Zürich. If yes, I would love to have some feedback about your experience there. I know that most of the time in Swiss public schools its all about the teacher you "get" and not the school itself. My daughter will start first grade next year and this is the school she will be assign to. I am trying to gather some info about this school in general because I also have the possibility to keep her in private school, but I hesitate because its getting expensive. Thank you very much for any info you could provide!
