Clearly it varies from place to place. I had blood taken for testing in Lausanne (CHUV) about 6 years ago. When I got the results back HIV was listed negative. My Swiss employer was outraged they'd tested without asking me.

Anyway, was useful as a couple of weeks later I embarked on a new relationship so could swap papers with him

That's just them being thorough.

If a person with suffering from Poly-Neuropathy had not been tested for AIDS and it was subsequently found that AIDS was indeed the cause then that would have thrown up accusations that the initial testing had not been thorough enough.

Swiss medical care is so good because they do thorough testing.

Did you show him your vaccine card too?
