Unfortunately, I have developed a very bad allergy to pollens for the first time ever........had no clue whatsoever as to what was happening........
Folks, I need your help in suggesting me a good allergologist in Basel.

Your normal GP should be able to help.

Same thing happen to me in my third spring in Switzerland in 2009. Never had any hay fever at all and ended up needing steroids for it. I've had it every year since too. Apparently it's quite common to develop hay fever as an adult. Serves me right for all my years of gloating that I never got it I guess!

I have developed hay fever on my 9th year in Switzerland... but after 3 seasons, it seems I am fine again... My boyfriend has been suffering from hay fever for more than 15 years and his advice to me is: don't take any medicine unless you really need to (important meeting, exams etc). I have listedn to his advice and I took a total of less than 10 tabletts in 3 years. If you need some help, you can go to the Apotheke, just tell them you have hay fever and they will know which medicine to give.

I once had a seasonal allergy - it was during exam time... never had it since...

This is a good thing to do anyway, but I am happy to report that I have no hayfever at all this year since I started avoiding wheat & (cow) dairy.

Coincidence? I think not.
